to even the three game series at a game apiece. Brett Anderson (2-4) knocked in two runs with RBI singles and Londell Taylor hit a solo homer, his first of the season, to pace the Tiger attack. PJ Polk scored the game winner in the 7th as he walked, stole second and third and came home on an Alexander Nunez sac fly.
Pitcher Brennan Smith started his first game for Connecticut after making three appearances out of the Tiger bullpen. Smith three 4 inning of three hit shut out ball. Tyler Clark (1-0) went two innings to pick up the win. Kevan Hess had a 1-2-3 bottom of the 9th for his first save in a Tiger uniform.
