Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Despite rumors, Tigers are staying at Dodd Stadium

Despite rumors, Tigers are staying at Dodd Stadium

Nice reporting by Joe...in another round of minor league musical chairs it seems the FisherCats will become a Twins farm team, the new Ottawa franchise a Blue Jays farm team, the RockCats a Mets team and welcome to the New-York Penn league to the good folks in Binghamton. Got all that?...there is a quiz later. Also someone on WFAN doesn't know the difference betweeen Norwich and New Britain...
In other news the Connecticut Tigers will be playing their Sunday home games at 4:00 this coming season instead of the 1:00 starts they've had their first two seasons. There is some sort of NYPL "tradition" that seems to govern that late afternoon Sunday starting time. Navs tried that for a season back in the day and it didn't work.....
Pitchers and catchers as MLBB camps are starting to open!!!

I'll bite! The Mets in Ct would be a good move. Norwich with a Double A team and New Britain empty. That would be so sweet, but it ain't going to happen.

So NY media outlets, stop this cruel teasing.

The pending sale of the Rockcats lends some credence to Joe's article discussing movement of some of the EL clubs. Unfortunately, it doesn't give any hope for a return to Dodd.

After two years at NB, I sure as Hell am not a Dowling fan, so it'll be nice to see him gone.
