In really late breaking news....Rule V draft results
are in. Three Defenders were selected in the Dec. 2006 draft. Lefty Jesse Floyd, catcher Brian Munhall and 3B Brian Buscher. Floyd and Buscher went to the Twins and Munhall went to Texas. I have a feeling we'll see Floyd and Buscher back in the Eastern League with the New Britian RockCats in 2007. Floyd had no run support and pitched in bad luck all season. Buscher was the most improved player on the team last year following his 2005 season and next to Nate the most steady player. Munhall started the year as the back up catcher and briefly was the #1 catcher until an injury ended his year.

Just wanted to drop a line from up here in Maine to tell you to make sure you keep updating the blogs as I will be looking to you to see how the changes are going. Sounds like they've got some exciting things going on this year!
Do me a favor and make sure you finally buy a new hat for the guys.....also, we've talked about the bobblehead thing.....you need to cap the amount you give out to keep them in demand. It's like anything else, if anyone can get them, they are not special any longer, and thus won't bring in a crowd.....simple supply and demand my friend. I thought we discussed this! :)
It will be interesting to see who they do this year!

Good to hear from you! Looking forward to another new season @ Dodd. Will be missing you and now Shawn big time up there. Maybe they can put out bobbles of the two of you. Could be a EL record for you--two bobbles for two different teams! Planning on coming down (All-Star game) during the season? LMK.

P.S. In fashion news my wife put her foot down on being seen in public with me wearing that sweat stained 10th Anniversary Navs cap. Have been wearing a spotless "classic" Navs cap this off season. For you I'll check out the gift shop Opening Day maybe there's a updated Defs/All-Star cap.
