Trenton defeats CT again 7-2
as EME provided the only offense going 3 for 4 with a RBI triple. Garrett Broshuis pitched well enough going 6IP, 2 ER with 4Hs, 3Ks and a BB. Jeff Petersen had a tough outing giving up 5 Rs, 2 ER in 1.2 IP. The two runs the Defs scored in the top of the 9th were the first off Thunder pitching after 39 straight scoreless innings so far this year.

Damn, we are getting a little deep in the hole here.
I scored a foul ball down here in Myrtle Beach tonight at the game. YEA! I was hoping for a carolina league ball and one came my way. it wasn't on the fly though, it kicked around the seats a bit. 2-0 combined Avalanche (astros)shutout over the pelicans (braves), got a few good pictures and a ton of Astros prospects autographs. A great freakin' night. I'll go after the braves autographs next.
Its too bad minicozzi is hurt, he would have been a .275, 18 home run guy.

I got a bitch about the media coverage for the Def's. It's basically nonexistent when the team is on the road. No radio, nothing in the Bulletin on their web site. I understand the economics prevent a traveling entourage, but isn't there some way to let fans know what's going on. Yeah, I can and do go to the Minor League web site to find game results, box scores, etc, but how many fans are going to do that?
Wouldn't some kind of game recap, write up or whatever in the Bulletin help generate interest in the team. Couldn't Joe Perez have a phone conversation with Machamer during road trips on occasion and write about it? Without coverage of away games, how is fan interst going to be maintained or generated? Maybe some of this stuff appears in the print editions, but I don't get the Bulletin.
And, where is the Def mgt on this issue? Seem like they should be the one's complaining, not me.

The only road coverage you can "almost" count on is the Courant's when the Defs play up there. They will usually have a reporter there. Beyond NB you're bascially forced to go online to the road team's home newspaper for any kind on coverage if you're lucky enough to find it. And then the article is written from the home team's point of view.
But, yes why can't someone from the Bulletin or Day pick up the phone and call Mach or Steamer? Or pay some local journalism college student to cover the game with a laptop and digital camera?
The team's response to this seems to be their own recap on the website sometime the next day.
