Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Jumped on the Reading Eagle on line this morning for their

coverage and saw that Brian Mazone who pitched here for the Navigators (Giants) for a couple of seasons and moved over to the Phillies organization getting to Triple A, was sold to the Samsung Lions of the Korean League. The Phillies signed another ex-Navigator (Yankees) Jason Anderson from the indy Atlantic League to replace him.

Mazone, now 30, also came from the indy Northern League before the Giants signed him. I really liked him and he had a great season in '06 leading that league in ERA or Ottawa. He also hit only the second home run (and last so far) for pitchers in franchise history. The first? Current Defender/Naviagator Joe Bateman.
