Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Seadogs bomb Defs 10-3; Velez injured sliding into

third on a successful steal (great, just great). Darren Sack takes the loss. Trey Webb and Pat Dobson collect two hits each and John Bowker gets 2 RBIs. EME not in lineup. Travis back down to .215.

Misc fan notes: I'll be back at Dodd Wednesday and Thursday. Joe Perez reports Klink will be out for a bit and a pretty funny blog entry on attendance. Check it out.

Will be nice to see you back, but I must caution you. The wheels have fallen off of this buggy Anything that can go wrong ,is and quite often.

Tough break on Velez. No word about the injury. Another note: EME out of line-up last two games with back up catcher DHing. Word I get is he's OK, but he hasn't been seen by these eyes before or during the game.

Jake took a pitch in the head tonight, but stayed in the game. Guess he was OK, but if he's out I wonder if Holm or Jennings can play an infield position.

Holm has played third back in '05, don't think TJ has played IF however

DM said Velez dislocated his shoulder. He was also holding his wrist.

We hit Bowden pretty good last night (relatively speaking). He's only 20 and the Sox are expecting big things from him. Trey Webb had a good night coming in for Velez. Getting thrown in the game seemed to work for him, he didn't have time to think about it and hit the ball, no K's.
