the game can be pretty much summed up by hondo comments under yesterday's game recap. The Connecticut bullpen pitched this game by committee. Alex Hinshaw goes 3IP and gives up a run on one hit and fans 6. Brooks McNiven goes the next three innings and gives up the single deciding run on 4 hits and gets 2 Ks. And Joe Bateman hurls two shutout innings with 3 Ks to his credit.
Brian Horwitz gets 3 of the Defs 6 hits and the only RBI as the bats were cold for CT. tonight.

The question is why was Hinshaw staring? The Middletown Press/New Britain Herald had Broshuis as the probable pitcher for tonight and the good news is Jake's back at second and leading off.
