Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Carlos Sosa's first HR of the season cap Defs

comeback to a 6-5 victory over Portland. Sosa's three run homer finished a 4 run bottom of the the 7th. Connecticut had trailed 5-0 at one point. Dave McKae had one bad inning. Ryan Sadowski pitched out of bases loaded one out jam without giving up a run and gets the win and Brian Anderson gets his 15th save.

Misc fan notes: Had to work again tonight and also like last night the first thing I heard when I turned on the radio was a home run, this one Sosa's. What are the odds on that? The radio guys went nuts on the homer call.

PS--Who took out the lineup card?

I know you were hoping it was Nick, but it was Mac.

I spoke to Nick. He told me that after he was thrown out for voicing displeasure with himself, he wanted to "have a little fun" before going to the showers.

FYI: Sosa's homer was a bomb.

I was there last night. It was NUTS. I got there at the mid of the first inning. By the fifth, we got a rain delay, and I ended up getting suuuupe r bad chills, to where I had to go sit up in Lous Lounge for a while. I talked with Garrett Broshuis up tehre for a while, and then later in the stands behind home plate, and as soon as I left talking with him and heading home, I was 5 steps away from the exit and had to run back seeing that they made a comeback from being 0-4....3-5....6-5! it was amazing. and a crazy night.
