Defs score four in the first and hang on to a 5-3
victory in Portland. Steve Holm capped the four run outburst with a 2 run homer, his sixth of the season. Carlos Sosa hit his third homer, a solo shot in the seventh.
Osiris Matos picked up the victory in relief of Brooks McNiven. Brian Anderson closed the game for his 16th save.
Eugenio Velez and John Bowker each had two hits each.

Another W tonight and a NH loss would be nice. TI got a few hits in SJ. EME played a few games in Arizona.
Zink/Espinelli tonight, a good matchup. Hopefully the defenders can finally get to this kid. He's killed us this year.
