Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Chris Begg, circa 2004, .....

Chris went 7-6 in 26 starts in the 2004 season. 159 IP, 138 hits, 123 Ks for a 3.06 ERA. 4 CGs and 3 SHOs. Always liked Chris.

Matos struck out five in 2.1 innings last night in San Jose.

And TI goes 1 for 4 with 1 K. Gee, darn, ain't that too bad. EME out with another "owie?" Glad I'm not his insurance provider.

Can anyone think of any former Navs or Defs who were bigger busts then those two?

Hope Matos keeps it up. He's another I wouldn't mind seeing back next year.

Matos is AAA material if you ask me. The Giants have opted to give all of their affection to Brian A.
In TI's defense I think he got a double and a home run the night before. Also Freddy Lewis has been starting in the playoff games for San Jose. Are they going to send Bonds down to pinch hit next? I understand the rehab thing but some kid who busted his ass all season has to ride the bench in the playoffs to let Lewis in. That sucks.

LC

AGREE, AGREE, AGREE, except when it comes to TI & EME. But what really stinks is they are both getting more opportunitiues to show Giants management how bad they are. What really sucks is Giants management.

I still hope Osiris is back next year..he's reliable.

Aloha, you lucky, (expletives deleted) person. Have a blast in Hawaii!

Greg,

Love the pix, keep them up. But what really (excuse the vulgarity) pisses me off is the Bulletin changing their Web Site and avoiding Joe's year end opinions Seems pretty convenient to me. I guess he's now into UConn athletics so we'll next hear from him in April. I don't know how the rest of you feel, but as far as I'm concerned the Bulletin ought to leave Norwich, not the Def's.

I like that line about the Bulletin leaving Norwich and not the Defs.
A bigger bust? Merkin Valdez, perhaps, bur fueled by injury however.
I like Matos also. Interesting to see where he starts April '08.
