Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs hang on and beat the BaySox 7-6....

as they blow a 5-1 lead for Dave McKae. Carlos Sosa goes 4 for 4 with a pair doubles and three RBIs. TSV hits homer #14 and knocks in three. Ryan Sadowski gets the win. Brian Anderson makes it interesting again in the 9th but manages save #29.
One game left!

Am I the only one who thinks McKae better get some giddyup on his delivery over the winter? And why in hell are the three of us worrying about a 2nd division team on such a lovely holiday weekend? I guess we all "need a life" or something close to it!

Well, back to "A FEW Dollars More" with Eastwood, VanCleef and a lot of mean looking Roman actors.

TOO DOO LOO and all that stuff

i wish mckae had gotten the call over munter for the afl

hopefully they send him to hawaii so he can learn something from the japanese pitchers who will be playing in that league

velez has gotta be a callup....but there is gonna be a really crowded of

wish they could put him back in the if

and at least the defenders are ending the season on a positive note....many teams in their position would be mailing it in

Velez has 5 sb's- Defenders had a good run toward the end.

NH And Portland have a one game playoff tomm. @ Portland, NB finishes 1/2 game out of the second playoff spot. Seems unfair as there was a game that wasn't made up. A three way tie would have been a bit of a nightmare.
