Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

A snow day post. I was 10 years old and it was a YMCA bus trip. Still remember how green the grass was. I remember both homers and running around in our section.
Sadly a bunch of these guys are no longer with us.

Wow, nice post. Back in the days when you could get a seat at the Fens. My first game was Ebbets Field. Dodgers played the Phils. Bums won 8-3. Irv Palica pitched for the Bums and Russ Meyer for Philly. Palica not only had a complete game, but drove in 2 or 3 runs with the bat. Andy Seminick had 2 HR's for the Phils. I wore my Giant hat and survived other then a little hazing from a few Dodger fans. Why is the grass always greener at the ballpark?

Only 8900 at Fenway for a Saturday afternoon game and it ended in a tidy 2:35.
