Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Good Luck Alberto Montes.....

as reported by SFHardBall, the former Navs pitcher was released last week by the Giants. Montes pitched from 2003-2005 in Norwich and was the team's closer most of 2004. David also reports in these pages that Montes has signed with a team in the indy United League.
Anyway, 13 days and counting. The second day of spring here in CT with the wind chill feels like winter isn't giving up yet! LC how's the weather down your way?

Misch and one of the "nothing" catchers optioned to Fresno today. Pat really hurt himself in his last start.

Greg, did you notice who Brute suggested is likely headed to Ct? The initials are EME.

IF EME remains in the organization, he'll be here again. But that's an increasingly big if.

Weather has been decent down here. me and my boy Wardell went fishing yesterday, hooked one that got off, thats about it. He's back in 2006 form and is averaging a strikeout plus per inning with a zero ERA in the minor league camp. Looks like he'll be coming out of the pen for Altoona.

Haven't checked the tranactions or box scores lately, I'll have to catch up. See you soon.
