Pat Dobson, Tyler Von Schell and Yosandy Ibanez..
were cut by the Giants according to SFHardball.com today. Ilanez, a righty reliever, appeared in a handful of games midseason for the Defenders last season before disappearing on the DL. Dobson, in his only season in '07 with the Defs, proved to be a handy ball player playing second, outfield, and first. He hit .223 in 305 ABs, 21 doubles, 5 HRs 27 RBIs in 104 games.
TVS played with the Navs and Defs from 2004 thru last season. He started last season at Triple A, was sent to San Jose and then closed out with Connecticut. In 61 games he hit .261 with 14 HRS and 40 RBIs and was instant offense when he got back. Sorry Michelle.

Least Broshuis wasn't cut. If he ever get's cut, I'll be crushed.

Dobson needs to get his ass to Hollwood - there is a paycheck waiting for him there.
And he could play on my boy Chris Bruno's baseball team.

OK, whose Chris Bruno?

Chris Bruno is an actor born in New Haven. Played on his college team as a walk-on pitcher. Now plays on a semi-pro team in LA called the National Network.
He's most famous for his current role on the TV show " The Dead Zone" where he plays the sheriff.
LC might know the guy from down New Haven way. LC?

Actually, I think it is encouraging they had to be cut to make room for guys with more potential. The 'system' really seems to be increasing in quality. And I think the Conn. team will be more competitive this year than last.

Michelle - just want you to know that your boy will be starting Friday night's game. :)

Who David? Broshuis?

My wife, cousin and I each got the July 4th jerseys of these players... How ironic that they all get cut at the same time... Just our luck, I guess.
Lucky for me, I decided against getting mine Auto'd. My wife and cousin weren't so lucky.
