Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Bowker hits another homer in today's game...

becoming the first Giant ever to hit home runs in his first two games. He goes 2 for 3 with the two run shot, RBI single and sac fly; 4 RBIs on the day. Other ex-Navigators/Defenders in the lineup today did pretty well: Fred Lewis 2 for 4 batting .333 on the year, Eugenio Velez 1 for 5 with 2 RBIs, Dan Ortmeier 1 for 1 and Brian Wilson picks up the save # 3 this season in a 7-4 victory.

greg....typo....dan, not don

sad thing is, they are facing the unit tomorrow, and dollars to donuts someone is gonna sit...if not both lewis and bowk

guess all that play in the northeast worked to toughen these guys up

there really is no excuse for the giants not to go full boar with a youth movement...you shoulda seen the crowd at the bell today...they were pumped

they dont know who bowker is yet...but they will

everyone loves eugenio, and freddie is finally proving that he belongs in the bigs at the top of the order

i figured he was in extended...and last i heard, he was penciled into the defenders lineup...but with the pen issues of the giants, looks like one or more guys are gonna get a shot going from fresno up to the big club...if hinshaw continues to impress, i can see him getting a look within a month or two...the way things are going, i can see alot of movement going on in the org...and that includes trades

Both went to right-right center, you can see them both on the giants official website.

Rowand is supposed to be back in the lineup monday.

Hinshaw belongs up there now if he's healthy. The kid is nasty.

I'm glad to hear Bowker is doing well up there. He's awesome. And good to hear that Mac is managing again. Actually I got a player I wonder where he is, is Derin McMains. milb has no profile for him, heck Tyler's profiles still up, I wonder what happened to Derin. I know him and Jake are still doing the Stache and Hawk thing, and Jakes up in Fresno, which is awesome.

LOST AND FOUND

Recovering from a taxing weekend with nothing to do, I searched the "Indy"rosters. A couple ex-Defs have appeared. Yes Michelle, Tyler Von Schell is alive and presumably well. He's listed on the roster for the York (Pa) Revolution of the Atlantic League.

Also found James Garcia on the Grand Prairie Air Dogs roster. They are in the American Association.

Still haven't found Jesse Floyd. Maybe if he's out of baseball, we can bring him back for the third annual Jesse Floyd award!

Jesse Floyd quit baseball. I know that because I have his myspace for my Ct defenders fan club profile.

Thanks for the news on tyler!!
