Defs drop another 3-2 in Portand as now we're
just a .500 ball club. GB goes 6.1 IP giving up 4 hits and all three earned runs. Jason Waddell stikes out the side in his one innings of work. Adam Witter gets both RBIs. Antoan Richardson goes 2 for 5 but gets picked off second to kill a rally in the 8th; of course the batter at the plate, Witter, then singles after the pickoff. Lets hope for a win Wednesday so this road trip isn't a diaster.

Gosh, now they are what 6-6. Bleh. Well I'm going to a game friday, I hope they win before then too.
Oh and did you guys hear about that submarine thing they are doing at Dodd now? Some real submarine thats going to shoot Tshirts at people, and one person each day will be "captain of the game" and will get to sit on the sub and shoot T Shirts at people.

I usually try to keep it positive, but I'm at a loss as to why Eddy pinch hit for Sosa. I don't think I would ever put anybody on the club in for Sosa, regardless of who was pitching.
Garrett only got 1 K but he kept the D's in the game. If he pitches this Sunday he'll be in the batting order, so I hope he hit the cages over the winter. With the run production he's gotten as a Defender, he'll need to pick up an rbi or two on his own :)

when garrett pitches, they need to send the eagle on the road...it was the eagle taking a header that broke the curse in his first game...and look...they are losing one run games...im sure the offense will pick up...the pitching is definitely there, and if timpner doesnt pick it up a notch in fresno, its possible he may get sent down...so there is a help...and antoan has gotta work on those base stealing skills

why are they pushing the envelope with gb? six innings has usually been the limit for starters, especially this early in the season. the bullpen so far has been one of the teams strengths, so use it to save the game, not to keep a deficit close. sort of smells like bien is dealing with a mandate from the giants.

just checked the giants box score from last night. bowker 2 for 4 with a triple. nice night all around for ex defs as lewis, ortmeier, velez and bowker had 6 of the teams 7 hits.
