Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs win another 1-0 game over the BaySox..

in a game that took just 2:03 to play. Connecticut scored the only run in the bottom of the 9th. A Ben Copeland single, a TI sac bunt, a IBB to Adam Witter and a HBP to Simon Klink laoded the bases for PH Olmo Roasario who singled in the winning run.
Dave McKae throws a seven innings of two hit ball and Ronnie Ray (Mr. Excitement) tosses the final two frames for the victory to improve to 2-0.

Misc fan notes: Back Tuesday to Dodd!

You missed a good one GF. Ishikawa was flashing some leather (and dropped a perfect sacrifice bunt down 1b line), McKae was dealing, Klink stays hot, and the ninth speaks for itself.

It looks to me that Klink swings better righty, but the numbers prove otherwise. Weird.

Surprised to see Olmo hit for Sosa but it paid off. Ray held it down for the W......T. Webb is back (pinch ran last night) and Hedrick is off the DL and was getting loose last night.

Baysox starter had 8 k's.

Got to see some kids that I saw play in Hawaii '06, Boucher who was traded from Seattle to the O's last year, and J. Tucker who is off to a good start, high OBP and 9 extra base hits so far.

The kid Berken throwing for the Baysox tonight is off to a good start. He has only walked 1 in 16 innings pitched. Martinez goes for the D's.

New Hampshire downed the Sea Dogs so CT is in 2nd, 3 1/2 games back.

Pat Benatar is at BB Kings in NYC; it's between that and the D's tonight. I'm leaning toward the D's though.
