Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Fun (scary) quick fact..........

on Fox's NASCAR pre-race coverage yesterday they had one of their production people in an all-you-can-eat section, like the Defs are doing every Thursday. The guy had eaten up to that point:

15 hot dogs
9 cheesebugers
4 bags of chips
6 sodas

A total value of $141 on a $80 ticket.

How many calories do you guess that represents?

A.) 13,786
b.) 10,875
c.) 9,430
d.) 15,213

The correct answer is at the bottom of the von Schell post

$15 bucks for the Defenders all you can eat deal. I'll rock that on Thursday ("thirsty Thursday"/Sam Adams Special as well, I'll try to get there early).

"Each Thursday Defenders home game (10 in total), fans will have another thing on their mind besides baseball and that's what to eat next. The ValuMail All-You-Can-Eat package includes sodas, hot beverages, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, hot dogs, pretzels, and popcorn, along with a ticket to the game. Packages are only $15 for adults and $12 for kids (12 & under)."

I went to one at the Staten Island Yanks last year. the Defenders offer is better. I hope the Defenders stick with the Hummel hot dogs for the special, those are great dogs.

Defenders lost their last 5, they need to thump the Thunder a few times.
