Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

AM blues...Defs lose 3-2 to RockCats this...

morning/afternoon to end their 4 game win streak. Defs were winning 2-0, thanks to a RockCat 2 run throwing error, heading into the 7th when the wheels came off for CT. reliever Kelvin Pichardo (1-3) as he gave up three runs on 3 hits and a pair of walks to surrender the lead and game to the home team.
Nate Bump pitched a no hitter thru five innings and Josh Sharpless extended the no-no bid thru the sixth with an inning of hitless ball. Picardo gave up an infield single to the first batter he saw and the flood gates would open. Kinda wish Bien had left Josh in the game looking back on things....
Dave Maroul had a pair of doubles on a 2-4 day. Jake Wald had a pair hits including a double and EME singled to go 1 for 3. The loss drops the Defs back to .500.
