Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs drop another 2-1 to B-Mets...

and it turns out I'm lucky to have been working tonight and missed it. Defs muster up just 4 hits. A pitch hit Kyle Haines plated Nestor Rojas for the only run. Jake Wald was thrown out at the plate trying to score on the hit.
Joey Martinez goes 5 IP giving up both runs. His record falls to 2-4 with a 2.78 ERA.

Misc fan notes: 21 days into May and I've been to just TWO games so this month. I got rained out twice. Will be there Thursday morning however but the forecast is so-so.

**Just saw that "Brute" of SFDugout.com was in town for tonight's game! Cold enough?
Retreat upstairs to Lou's Lounge. See you Thursday AM.

Trenton on a five game winning streak and CT on a five game slide...bummer.

I went to Van Halen last night and stayed up there with the intention of hitting this game. I got creamed at the casino this morning and came home in disgust. I may wait until next Friday for the b- mets return, I hope to catch Carp one more time before he goes up.

I got an automated call from the Defenders today about this weekend's promotions, I thought it was pretty cool. I want to go to the Sunday game but we have a family deal down here.

I understand the Mohegan Sun is giving their employees free tickets, I hope they use them. A lot of nice people work there, but I wish it didn't exist.

You had to be there to be really disgusted. Lousy hitting (more K's then hits.. again), base running awful, coaching mediocre and fielding spotty. Pitching OK. Nothing contributing to this loss can be blamed on Dodd, but I'm sure Bien and the players have a different opinion. I wish someone on this team would get their act together offensively. It's become more boring then watching paint dry.
