Defs lose 9-6 tonight in N.H. despite...
a 16 hit attack. Ben Copeland, Antoan Richardson, TI (2 RBI) and Jake Wald all had two hits apiece and Olmo Rosairo goes 4 for 5. And they steal 4 bases out of 5 attempts, with TI and EME pulling a double steal for at least the second time this season. AND they pull off 4 DPs, but leave 10 LOB.
Dave McKae had a tough outing ( seems like it's a good start, then a bad start) giving up 7 runs, 6 earned in 3.2 IP. His record is now 3-2 with a whopping 5.18 ERA. Josh Sharpless gave up run scoring singles to the first two batters he saw in his 2008 Connecticut debut; the runs charged to McKae. Steve (JP) Palazzolo had his usual good outing throwing two scoreless frames. Jason Waddell gives up a pair of FisherCat insurance runs in his inning.

Darn, this was a game the D's should have won.
I'n McKae's defense he was taken out when there was runners on first and second with two outs, and they both ended up scoring after back to back singles off the relief.
That was a tough loss becuase they could have gained a game, and now today Chase Wright is on the hill over in Trenton and he is off to a good start.
The kid throwing for the F-cats tonight(Cecil) was the 38th overall pick in 2007, $810K bonus. It looks like they are in the midst of converting him from a reliever to a starter.
The starter last night, Romero, scored a 2.4 million dollar signing bonus.
Martinez tonight for CT, he's been solid.
