Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs romp 11-4 tonight over the Senators...

behind a 15 hit attack. EME goes 3 for 6 (yes, he's batting .311) with a pair of RBIs. Brad Boyer, Carlos Sosa, Adam Witter and Jake Wald (2 run triple) all had two hits apiece. Defs left 14 runners on base so the score could have been bigger. The Senators had a postion player on to pitch in the 8th and mgr. John Sterns got tossed.
Garret Broshuis goes 6 IP to improve to 4-4 with 3.63 ERA and had a RBI single. He retired 15 in a row at one point. His best outing in a while.

Misc fan notes: Paul Oseguera goes Sunday; his first start coming off the DL.

Stearns got tossed defending one of his players. What happened was Luke Montz got called out on strikes for the 2nd time in the game in the 8th. The 1st base ump called the 2nd one. When the inning ends , Luke goes out to argue with the ump with all his catchers gear on. After he's ejected, Stearns goes out and the arguing ends up half way down the RF line. It was pretty funny, but Hburg had a bitch. They suffered from questionable ball/strike calls all night.

After these past few days our attendance average has gone up pretty nicely... about a 300 increase.
