Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Double up, Double down Defs win 7-3 with

6 of their 12 hits being doubles and add a Carlos Sosa solo homer to that as well. Infact Sosa had a pretty busy night going 3 for 3 with a pair of doubles plus his fifth HR of the season plus a couple on walks and scored twice.
Connecticut was down 3-0 early but rallied with four runs in the seventh. The big hits was a bases loaded double by Antoan Richardson. Simon Klink went 3 for 4 with one of those doubles. Olmo Rosairo and David Maroul had RBIs in the game.
Justin Hedrick (2-2) wins in relief of Joey Martinez who went 5 IP giving up all three FisherCats runs. Hedrick threw two innings of no hit ball and got 3 Ks. Osiris Matos (when is Romo back?) gets a 2 inning save, his fourth on the year, striking out three.

Viva la Sosa revolution!

And a great outing from Hedrick judging by the box score.

CT remains in the thick of things.........

Let's hope this team remains competitive. It'll be nice having a reason to go to the games other then seeing the top prospects play for the opponents. Come August, we can worry about extending the season.
