Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Ben Snyder debut is a short one tonight...

as he lasts just 3.1 IP giving up all 5 B-Mets runs in a 5-4 Defs loss. Connecticut built a 3-0 lead after a Kyle Haines RBI single in the second that scored Pablo Sandoval (2 for 4) who had doubled. In the third Ben Copeland (2 for 4) singled in a pair of runs. But the wheels started to come off in the third as Snyder, who was on the basepaths in the top half of the innings via an error and advanced on a wild pitch and sac bunt before scoring on Copeland's hit, gave up a three run homer for a 3-3 tie. In the fourth two singles and a HBP loaded the bases before a two run single by the opposing pitcher put the B-Mets up 5-3 and knocked Snyder out of the game.
Connecticut scored one more run on Adam Witter's (another start at first) RBI groundout to finialize the score at 5-4.
Connecticut managed just five hits in the game; four against B-Mets ace Salvador Aguilar who improves to 9-1 with a 2.82 ERA.
