how about another bday present...former defender brian horwitz had his second straight start in left and hit his first mlb dinger...he now has 4 hits in his first 2 games...the kid is a machine

Word is that Mike Cannistra, Heads Groundskeeper, is leaving the team to join the NY Mets grounds crew. Congrats to him!! It will be very tough to find someone in midseason, but good for Mike doing what is best for his career. One bit of worry, as there seems to have been a mass exodus in the past 6 months from the Defenders front office. I wonder if the GM will take notice and stop the talent from leaving so quickly.
