Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

5 in a row! Defs rally to win 4-3 over the FisherCats..

at Dodd tonight. Down 3-0 Connecticut scored 4 runs with two outs in the bottom of the fifth on RBI singles by AR, Ryan Rohlinger and Pablo (batting 5th tonight) and gets Joey Martinez the win on his first start off the DL. Martinez goes 6 IP giving up 6 hits, two solo homers, and all three NH runs. He improves to 5-6 with a 2.31 ERA. Dave McKae throws two innings and Kelvin Pichardo gets his 5th save and second in as many days.
Connecticut had 11 hits in the game with EME, Dave Maroul (DHing), Jake and Pablo (double) all getting two hits each. Connecticut is now two games under .500.

Misc fan notes: My first look at lefty Ben Snyder Thursday night; looking forward to it. McKae turning out to be pretty handy these days.

DID'NT SEE ANYTHING IN YOUR MISC. NOTES---MAYBE YOU HAVE NOT HEARD??
ANDY PAPPAS IS NO LONGER WITH THE DEFENDERS FRONT OFFICE--I BELIEVE--AS OF TUESDAY.
HE WILL BE MISSED---HE WAS ONE OF THE HARDEST WORKING FOLKS IN THE ORGANIZATION---HE NOT ONLY DID HIS JOW WELL---BUT ANY OTHER TASK THAT NEEDED TO GET DONE.
GOOD LUCK, ANDY!!!

It seems as CT is making a comeback.
