Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs are hot! 9 wins out of last 10 games as they..

beat the RockCats 5-3 in NB tonight. Connecticut climbs above the .500 mark and with the B-Mets coming to town the team can make some real hay in the standings.
Ben Copeland is the hitting hero tonight going 2 for 5 and knocking in three runs. Kyle Haines goes 2 for 3 with a double and RBI. Pablo goes 3 for 5 with a double. EME and Ryan Rohlinger each go 2 for 5 with a double.
Joey Martinez was dealing on the mound improving his record to 6-6 with a 2.36 ERA. Martinez notched 10 Ks in the contest over 6 IP and scattered just 4 hits. Justin Hedrick gets his third save throwing 1.1 IP.

Misc fan notes: Double dip against the B-Mets Tuesday! Ben Sndyer and Brooks McNiven are the probables.

Ben Copeland seems to be a John Bowker junior, without all the HR's. Do you think he's going to be the next big one to pop up? I need to see him play more. I've only seen him play twice out of the 10 or so games I've gone to so far.
