El Duque to start for the B-Mets tonight vs. CT...

"Veteran major-league starting pitcher Orlando Hernandez will make a rehab appearance with the Binghamton Mets on Thursday night at NYSEG Stadium.


Robert Ford, B-Mets Director of Media Relations, confirmed that "El Duque", who has been plagued by a foot ailment, will start for the B-Mets at 7:05 Thursday against the Connecticut Defenders.

"I'm not 100 percent certain what his pitch count will be," Ford said of Hernandez, who in his most recent rehab assignment allowed three hits and struck out five in 5 2-3 innings for Class A St. Lucie."

In other rehab news Portland is going crazy over the rehab of David Ortiz; just check out eBay for tickets. And guess who the visiting team there will be?
