FisherCats blow out Defs 9-2.....

as the FisherCats score 4 runs on a pair of homers in the first off Ben Snyder (1-2, 7.85 ERA). New Hampshire went on to push three more across the plate in the fourth and the only suspense was whether FisherCats starter Ricky Romero could throw a no-hitter against the Defs. The no-no bid last 5.1 innings until Olmo smoked a double to left center. The FisherCats built the lead to 9-0 until Connecticut finally broke thru against Romero, trying the throw a complete game, with a pair of runs in the bottom of the 9th.
Connecticut has now lost 3 out of the last 4 games going into Monday's game before the two day All-Star break.
