Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Things looking grim in Binghamton as the...

Defs drop the completion on the game suspended on 7-19 4-1 as the B-Mets catcher Salvador Paniagua tied the game at 1-1 with a solo homer off Adam Cowart in the eight and won it with a walk-off three homer off Kelvin Pichardo in the ninth.
In the regularly scheduled game Connecticut is down 3-1 in the second. EME accounted for the CT run with his fifth homer of the season. Joey Martinez is on the mound for Connecticut.

BUT..............Defs win the "nightcap" on Adam Witter's 15th homer of the year, a three run shot in the 6th as Martinez gets the win and Justin Hedrick nails down the victory with his sixth save.
Which is a good thing as losing two games to the B-Mets would have really messed them up. CT remains a game back of third place Binghamton. Trenton is falling fast and Portland is losing a pair today. Sept. baseball????
