Bacci...You're right about Paul Newman... "SlapShot" is one of my all time favorite movies. The "Hustler," and the unrated "Fort Apache." are other personal favs.
I actually saw him once in Boston many years ago.
As a NASCAR fan, I'm well aware of his driving background. I read they closed Lime Rock for an afternoon in August so he could a few last laps.
The Petty's Victory Junction camps were inspired by Newman's Hole in the Wall Gang camps.
I was too taken aback by his passing to do anything here right off the bat.
