Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

GOOD POWER HITTER. SEEMED TO DO BETTER AT FIRST BASES. NEEDS TO WORK ON LEVELING HIS SWING AND REFINING HIS ZONE. CUT HIS STRIKE OUTS IN HALF AND HE IS ON HIS WAY TO FRESNO OTHERWISE DOUBLE AA WILL BE THE END OF HIS RUN

Like many power hitters and especially left handers, somewhere along the line and usually late high school or college, they decide to don the tools of ignorance and get behind the plate for a more rapid professional life.
Doesn't mean they are good at that position but a 2 tool catcher is rare and a left handed catcher is a plus. This is why they usually get put at a different position eventually because most teams will take a defensive specialist hitting 230 over a 300 adv. catcher that is pron to errors and pass balls and poor game calling.
Just my take.
