claimed off waivers by the Padres. He, who just didn't feel like hitting at Dodd frame--of course the Giants rewarded him by quickly promoting him to the bigs. Check out McCovey's for the official wake. Thanks to lc for bringing it to my attention today.

moved him up to the 40, then dropped him, allowing him to be taken off of waivers for nothing

Geno Espineli and E. Alfonzo released (outrighted to Fresno) by Giants along with former Nav Brad Hennessey. Ty Walker, Correia, Scott Mc Clain, and Ochoa also axed. It was a money move and except for Geno, they can all opt for free agency. Geno remains under Giant control. Giant 40 man roster at 33 now with these moves.
Surprisingly, my old friend Pat Misch still on 40 man, so far. I'd love to see Pat get a shot with another organization.
