Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Ack, you spoil me!

Less than 100 days until professional baseball! And less than that if you are near a college.

Not sure where I will be this spring, but I have the June 20 Northwest League Opening Day game between the Salem-Keizer Volcanos (Giants) and the Eugene Emeralds (Padres) on my calendar and plan to be there.

I just hope that I don't miss too much before then. So, I am counting on your reports.

Pablo Sandoval is killing the ball in the VWL. Maybe someday I can catch a game there. Sadly, my relatively new passport is empty.

Mike Ashmore reported recently that Toronto has signed Randy Ruiz. I imagine there's a decent living to be made for a career minor leaguer who can hit. Maybe he even gets a shot at DH now that he's with an AL team?

It's really getting to me how all these dopes on McCovey's keep dumping on Pablo. Some of those posters have to be the biggest asses in baseball fandom.

Happy (Hic) New Years everyone.
