Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

This is off topic, but I don't know how many of you remember Sal Yvars, a back up catcher for the Giants in the early '50's. Sal, for some unremembered reason, was always a favorite of mine. He was alway thought to be the guy in the Giant clubhouse stealing the other teams signs. I never believed it.

Damn, I forgot to mention, Sal died recently, age 84. A nice, long life.

I remember the thing about the Giants stealing but didn't know the person behind it. RIP Sal and RIP Billy Powell LS ketboard player).
