Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team.
We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Jake Wald....back in Norwich????
as the Giants signed a Triple A shortstop from the White sox last week.
I really hope jake gets to be in Fresno to start the year. By the way, in the Red Sox vs Tigers game today, the Sox hit 4 consecutive Homeruns. Also, I reapplied at Dodd Stadium this past Saturday as they had their Job Fair. Hopefully, I'm lucky enough to get the job back, but chances are slim.
PICHARDO is gut-wrenching: as he was a fan favorite in Norwich. The kids loved him, as he would hand out sunflower seeds, bubble gum and ice cold water from the bull-pen. Was this a result of his early spring training injury, that sent him back to minor league camp? When I talked to him last week, he believed the injury was going to set him back about a month, he believed he would start in CT and them earn a spot in Fresno. He was hitting 95mph on the gun, he was on the 40 man roster, making $10,000 a month in double A... why did he need this stuff?
ctgiants, perhaps that is how he mae it to the 40 man in the first place. I don't fault him for it...mlb created an enviornment where you alost have to cheat to compete.
He got caught, he has to pay the piper, and get back on his horse.

If they send him back to AA, he'll have to seek inspiration from his Stache and Hawk song "Hang with 'em."

Kelvin Pichardo has been suspended 50 games for a positive PED test:
