Defs drop last game of the 7 game road trip...
2-0 in NH. The FisherCats scored both runs in the 8th after two without the benefit of a hit. Five walks and a wild pitch from CT relievers Waldis Joaquin (0-2) and Steve Edelsfsen enabled the FisherCats to salvage one game of the three game series. The Defenders managed just four hits in the game, all singles. Brooks McNiven became the first CT starter to go 5 innings this season.
CT finishes the road trip 4 and 3.

lame way to lose. the old timers used to yell "throw it over and let 'em hit it for christ's sake" when the count got to 3-1.

I will be there tonight! Probably seated near the Defenders bullpen with my parents. Hopefully get to catch up with some of the guys like Witter and 'Toan.
