Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs beat the Curve in Altoona 9-5...

as Brock Bond (.323 BA) goes 5 for 5 with a triple and three runs scored and Brad Boyer goes a very productive 0-4 with 3 RBIs via a sac fly and two run producing gound outs. Curve helped CT along by making three errors in the game.
Madison Bumgarner (2.13 ERA) started and went 4 IP giving up a pair of unearned runs. Dan Griffin (5-4 5.29 ERA) gets the win despite allowing the Curve back into the ballgame by giving up three runs to tie the game at 5-5. Matt Yourkin who should be credited with the win throws two scoreless innings and Dan Otero pitches the 9th.
Mike McBryde went 2 for 4 with a tripe and two RBIs and EME (.299 BA) also had a pair of hits and a RBI.
