Defs drop DH opener to the B-Mets 1-0...

as Dan Otero's dropped ball covering first lead to the only run of the game as the next batter doubled in the winner in the bottom of the 8th. Daryl Maday started for Ct and went 5IP giving up 5 hits and recording 4 Ks. Matt Yourkin threw two scoreless innings in relief of Maday until Otero (0-1) lost the game in the 8th.
Defs could muster only 6 hits and once again ran themselves out of a couple of innings as EME doubled and then was thrown out a third on a grounder to short--has to be the third time they've done that this season. And Felmy and McBryde were both caught stealing. McBryde was later ejected for arguing balls and strikes.
Ben Sndyer gets the spot start in Game 2 and I see we're already down a run in the early going.
