Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Defs run past Phillies 12-5....

as CT stole 6 bases in today's game including home twice on the front end of double steals. Sharlon Schoop and Bobby Felmy were the players to swipe home, both in the second inning as the Defs jumped out to a 2-0 lead.
Connecticut scored 4 runs in the 7th and added on 5 runs in the 8th to blow the game open. When the dust finally settled, satrter Tim Alderson had improved to 5-1 on the season with a 2.59 ERA.
Mike McBryde lead the Connecticut attack going 4 for 5 with three doubles and 4 RBIs. Brock Bond went 2 for 5 with 3 RBIs and Brett Pill knocked in three as well with a 2 for 4 day.

Misc fan notes: Roster moves in the offering; check out Joe Perez's blog for the latest....

I am so very excited to see GB back in CT! Its been so long since I saw him in Trenton, NJ, a few days before the 08 season ended.

Roster lists Sosa(potential injury?), English, Antoan, and Griffin, off the roster, doesn't mean they're not with the team. Antoan has been shown on and off the roster including the past few road trips his name has been taken off, but then put on for home series.
Nothing against Griff, but I'd kind of rather not see him toeing the rubber at Dodd anytime soon

I saw Griffin a couple years back, he looked pretty good then. What happened? What is he throwing now? And did he get released? Anybody know?

@ Greg Although seeing him is great, I agree. Poor guy's been bounced around everywhere this season. A, AAA now AA. I feel bad.
