Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

FisherCats beat Jesse English, Defs 5-2...

as CT lead shrinks to 5 games over the RockCats who won their third straight tonight.
English (6-6, 3.57 ERA) went 4 IP giving up 3 earned runs. Geivey Garcia (6.16 ERA) gave up two runs in his two innings of work. Matt Yourkin and Dan Griffin threw a scoreless inning each.
Brock Bond, Brett Pill (double #29) and EME all had two hits each. Adam Witter knocked in a run on a sac fly.

Misc fan notes: Need help in the bullpen! They bring in Garcia into a close game with his now 6.16 ERA? Little help???

Somebody by the name of Kelvin Pichardo and Justin Hedrick are waiting to be given second chances...Hello Giants!!?!? Why don't they give them second chances?
Pichardo has been in Rook ball for some time this year and has Zero statistics

Hedrick was very good last year, and on a losing team. Now that he is on a winning team I think he could help us nicely now

I'm concerned about the entire pitching staff because the stats keep going the wrong way.... both starters and relievers. My untrained eye hasn't noticed any improvement during the year and the league is catching up fast.

In recent years you saw improvement as the season progressed, especially in the bullpen. This year it's going the other way.

Is the talent level this year less than the past? Or is it something to do with the change in pitching coaches? I can't answer either question, but perhaps someone out there can.
