Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team.
We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Bond, Brock Bond....
The EL's 2009 batting champ, Brock hit .333 (150 for 450) with a homer and 33 RBIs along with 21 doubles and set the table for Brett Pill's RBI bat.
"Bond, Brock Bond." That has got to be one of the best names ever. He's such a good guy, and I'm glad I got the chance to start to get to know him this year.
And Garrett's email in that SF story was heartfelt, and a real insight into what it must be like to be a minor leaguer. I was nearly in tears. He really does have a knack for painting a picture with words. I don't think people realize that at this level, most of these guys don't make or have a lot of money, and it's all about trying and how long you can do it before you either make it or have to give up. After reading that, I have even more respect for any of these guys who put everything aside for a chance at achieving their dream.

He does have a great baseball name. And you're right about all of those RBI's, Greg - they both did their jobs.
