gives up all 6 runs in one inning. Tyler LaTorre throws a scoreless ninth and MadBum goes just one inning, the first. CT manages just 7 hits in all.
NB beats Trenton to clinch second place.

The New Britain Rock Cats (the Wild Card winner) defeated the Trenton Thunder 6-4! I am so very happy that Trenton is not in the playoffs finally! TRENTON AND THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY SUCK!!!
I just want to give you a heads up that Sharlon Schoop won't be with the team for the playoffs. He's going back to his home country in Nederlands for the rest of this season.

I imagine Schoop is playing for the Netherlands in the upcoming World Baseball something or other. New Britain has lost Tosoni(SP???) to Canada for the same reason.
