Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

I am SO going to a hockey game instead. My goal for this hockey season is possibly go to all 5 different American Hockey League (Hartford, Bridgeport, Providence, Worester, and Springfield) games around this area (that includes a possibility of going to the AHL All-Star Classic in Portland, ME, and possibly travel to Cleveland, OH to see the Lake Erie Monsters play while we're spending our vacation trip in Pittsburgh).
The reason why I'm talking hockey and not baseball is because I am so pumped for hockey season to start next week and it's gonna be a lot fun than watching baseball, no offense. This will be my 4th year following hockey.

I had to step out of lurkdom when I saw the 2010 dates posted.
Is it wrong to be pretty darn excited about something that is seven months away?
I never went to a game until this year (then got so hooked I went to 18 more) so it's the 2009 team I really became a fan of.
Despite the increased risk of April showers (aka rainouts) I'm glad the first series is early in the season. Now I just have to selfishly hope that some of the boys I want to see play again at least start the season at double-A.
