Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Brett Pill....

What a season! Brett lead the EL in RBIs with 109 (a Norwich/CT franchise record high), 37 doubles (third best in league and another franchise record), 19 homers (tied for fourth best in league), batting .298 (top 10 league batting 139 for 527), and committed just four errors in 139 games. Good Luck in Fresno in 2010!

It was definitely a treat to see Brett play this summer. He's a genuine talent, a nice guy, and he has respect for the game and the fans. It's obvious with the way he plays and the way he is with all the kids (and kids at heart) who want autographs.
You seem very proud, Kelly, as well you should be.

No, he is not. As you know, he played in a lot of games this year. He is staying around here, working out and getting stronger like he did last off-season. It worked for him last year - he'll go back in February bigger and stronger. Yes, unfortunately, I hear ya' regarding the coach and G.M. We'll see what happens. You have all been great this year. Thanks!!
