Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team.
We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....
Today I am being freed! Eight days without a vehicle; major mechanical repairs, big bucks! My wife has a lime green Beetle, so my trips anywhere have been limited, but I always seemed to run into someone I know and the insults would fly about me and the Beetle. So, I have read a lot, blew leaves (a bumper crop this year) and messed around on the idiot machine (this computer).
Among the things I uncovered were how skewed the Eastern League schedule is for 2010. For instance;
Richmond and New Britain visit each other three times. Richmonds remaining home schedule is Akron, H-burg, Port, NH, Trent, and Bingo visit once and Erie twice. Reading visits three times; Altoona and Bowie four times. And on MILB web site, Richmond is still listed in the Northern Division. New Britains schedule looks pretty much the same as past years.
And looking over the NY/Penn League goings on, it appears all the candidates rumored to be heading to Norwich are going forward selling season tix, etc as if 2010 will be business as usual for them. That, and the fact the 15th of Nov has passed doesn't bode well for Norwich. One can only hope something changes soon.

Congrats on your freedom!
EL schedule makers don't have a clue.
You must of read my mind about the NY-Penn; I was going to check that out sometime soon.
The lack of news re: Norwich is bothersome.
