Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team. We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....

Hey guys. I was at this baseball academy today and one of the guys i was training w/ said he had played w/ the Defenders at one point last season. He is a catcher and I believe his 1st name was Mike and his last name began with an A. Anyone know who he is? Thanks!

I know a bullpen catcher from the team from a view years ago named Dave. Ironically, he knows my Uncle and the rest of my Uncle's family.
maybe he just wants to make it seem like he played for the Defenders??? or is using an alias?? haha

Hey guys. I found out the player is Mike Ambort. He played w/ San jose and in AZL last yr after recovering from his 3rd elbow surgery. He's considered to be a really good prospect but is always being derailed by injuries.
