Thoughts and pictures of my local minor league baseball team the New York Penn League Connecticut Tigers; a Detriot farm team.
We'll still be looking at former Navigators/Defenders players along the way....
Does anyone else think that someone from the Bulletin or The Day should interview the Oneonta guys and check in on what they are doing to prepare for the new season?? Somehow, I don't think its much. I don't believe they can purchase any merchandise with a "Connecticut Tigers" logo as there wouldn't be any trademarks in place, etc. Unless they plan on selling all the old Oneonta stuff?? You would have to think that New Britain has started moving into the old Defenders territory and have 4 months to do it. No more spring day games where thousands of local students come to the game, scout nights being booked, all the theme nights...New Britain has a 4 month jump on the Tigers in nailing down any group sales and corporate dollars. I would like to know what the guys up there in Oneonta are doing to prepare. I'm worried that for 2010 they are going to open the gates and hope for the best...
