I saw it live today, the Yankees turn their first triple play...
since 1968 against the A's today. It was the round the horn infield type with A-Rod stepping on third for the first out, throwing to Cano at second for the second out and then cano throwing to Tex to complete the triple killing.
The one in '68 was against the Twins with catcher John Roseboro lining back to the pitcher the immortal Dooley Womack who threw over to third baseman Bobby Cox to double up the runner off third. Cox then threw over to Mickey Mantle, playing at first, for the third out.
