Yanks make it two in a row over the Tigers...
tonight in Staten Island 5-3. CT starting pitcher Clemente Mendza (2-4) takes the loss. The Tigers offense was quite again managing just 5 hits in the game. Josh Ashenbrener and James Robbins had RBIs for the Tigers.

A Fallen Prospect
Last year when the Giants traded Tim Alderson to the Pirates for ? Sanchez, Giant fans went nuts, questioning Sabe's sanity.
Since the trade, Timmy has pitched in Altoona, and not very well. He was recently demoted to Bradenton in the Class A Fla St league. In two starts he has:
An 0 and 2 Won/loss.
After 5 + innings, his ERA is 20.65.
The rest of his stats are appropriately ugly.
I wonder if his funky motion is causing him some physical problems?
In the meantime, Mr Sanchez is having a pretty good year in SF.
